Bait Al-Mashura International Journal Held Second Meeting

The advisory board of Bait Al-Mashura International Journal (BAMIJ) held its second meeting on 17/11/2018, at Katara cultural village ­– Doha, in the presence of advisory board members residing in Doha, namely:

  • Dr. khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, Editor in Chief BAMJ
  • Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Ansari, Dean of Shari’ah and Islamic Studies College Qatar University
  • Prof. Dr. Aisha Yousef Al-Mannai, Director Sheikh Muhammad Bin Hamad Al-Thani Center for Muslim Contribution to civilization, HBKU
  • Prof. Dr. Saleh Qadir Karim Al-Zanki, Head of Islamic Studies, College of Shari’ah and Islamic Studies, Qatar University
  • Dr. Murad Boudaia, Teaching Staff Member, College of Shari’ah and Islamic Studies Qatar University
  • Dr. Osama Qais Al-Dereai, Deputy Editor in Chief, BAMIJ
  • Dr. Fuaad Al-Dulaimi, Managing Editor, BAMIJ
  • Dr. Ebrahim Hasan Gamal, Member of Editorial Board, BAMIJ
  • Dr. Umar Ababina, Member of Editorial Committee, BAMIJ

The meeting was started by a welcome and appreciation note delivered by Dr. Osama Al-Dereai, Deputy Editor in Chief, addressed to the members and the attendees. He expressed his good wishes for the meeting and hoped that the meeting will be successful and achieve its aim.

Dr. Khalid Sulaiti, the editor in chief BAMIJ & deputy chairman of BAM board of members, addressed the meeting and highlighted the importance of scientific research in the upliftment and growth of human civilization, besides the present world’s reliance on the knowledge in their renaissance and merit. He extended his thanks to the advisory board of BAMIJ for their support and solitude over the past period, similarly he welcomed the new members who joined the board recently, thereby he concluded his address by thanking the members of editorial board for their contribution and efforts towards the success and upgradation of the journal.

Followingly, the honorable members watched a film produced by the editorial board which was briefing the journey of the journal and its achievements since its launch, as well as the phases it passed through during past four and half years entailing the issue of ninth edition. Thereby, Dr. Sulaiti turned towards the respected members seeking their comments and suggestions.

The advisory board members thanked the editorial board for conducting the meeting and welcomed the recently joined new advisory board members, an added value to the board. The advisory board members evaluated and had a healthy discussion on the past period of the journal, wherein they commended the recent steps undertook to fetch registration and accreditation under the global databases and indexes, the board also asserted the significance of strict observation of supervision policies implementation and procedures the journal follows for the process of referring and reviewing. Similarly, they also discussed the concurrent challenges facing the journal and suggested that the correspondence with the publishing houses, local and international universities shall be undertaken in order to ease the process of issuance and to further upgrade the journal among the academicians.

Henceforth, the precious suggestions of honorable members will contribute to the development and progress of journal i.e., through the proposals they sent forward during the second meeting of the journal.

In brief, BAMIJ is the pioneer international refereed scientific journal which is licensed by the ministry of culture and sports in the state of Qatar, it also has international classification pertaining to the scientific journals related to Islamic economics and banking in both English and Arabic languages. The journal aims at disseminating the knowledge-based awareness by availing the researches and studies for the stakeholders through print and electronic mediums. The advisory board of journal embodies an array of expert and iconic academicians from different Arabic and Islamic countries.

The BAMIJ is listed in mighty and very famous Arabic and foreign data bases which are electronic, scientific, international and academic; those data bases comprise a huge number of journals and scientific references and are relied upon by the researchers, scientific entities and academicians.
